New System Implementation for Telex Visa Request Procedures

Effective February 2017, the Directorate General Immigration has implemented a new system and procedure for Telex Visa approval application (applicable for Limited Visas [in relation to a Work Permit] and Business Visas).
Under the new system, the employer is required to register their company in the new system before submitting a Telex Visa application. Upon approval, the Directorate General Immigration will send the password for the submitted user name for login into the new system for submission of the application.
Processing time for registering in the Immigration system is approximately 48 hours.
Documents needed for registration in the new system are :
- Company Deed of Establishment and its approval from Ministry of Law and Human Rights
- Amendment Deed and its approval from Ministry of Law and Human Rights
- ID Card copy of the President Director/Director/Commissioner, their name should be stated in the Company Deed
- Company Business License
- Company Tax ID card
- Company Registration Certificate (TDP)
Once the registration is completed, the processing time for Telex Approval request remains at approximately 5 – 7 working days. Applying Telex Approval will be based on the quota per day that is limited by the Immigration Department (200- 400 applications per day). There is also no change to this.
Impact
Companies must register in the new immigration system in order to apply for Telex Approval for Limited Visa and Business Visa for foreign visitors travelling to Indonesia. Even if there are no applications pending, we advise that the registration be done in preparation for potential future applications.
